Siya. Pronoun of no genders.

In many Filipino dialects. the pronoun of "siya" indicates both "she" and "he." It has no gender indication.

Many western languages have gender specific singular pronouns. Her/Him (English), Haar/Hem (Dutch), Elle/Ille (French), Ella/El(Spanish), Sie/Er (German), Lei/Lui(Italian). How do you think western language on gender specificity has affected your thinking on the topics of gender and equality?
